Birahim Fall a.k.a Mbida is one the famous Senegalese “suweer” painter. “Suweer” is the woolof (traditional language spoken in Senegal) word for glass painting. Glass painting technique is particularly popular in Senegal. This technique has been introduced in Senegal by Arab merchants in the 20th century. These paintings usually represent every day life scenes.
